As a health insurance agent who specializes in assisting seniors with their insurance needs, BJ Ashley takes Medicare and breaks it into smaller easy to digest pieces. Offering Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans, Dental & Vision, Burial Benefits, etc. He is dedicated to providing personalized health insurance solutions to protect and support seniors' well-being. Medicare Plan Options
Medicare Supplement
Also known as Medigap or MedSup, is offered through private insurance carriers. It picks up the 20% tab leftover by Original Medicare that you would otherwise pay for Part B covered services (depends on plan). Accepted everywhere Original Medicare is accepted throughout the U.S. and its territories. This gives you the freedom to travel without concern if you need to see a doctor outside of your city or state. All plans are standardized which means Plan G's benefits with one carrier will have the exact same benefits with another allowing you to shop on price, rate increase history, and financial strength of the carrier. On another note, a drug plan is not included you will have to purchase it seperately as a standalone.
Medicare Advantage
Is Part C of Medicare offered by private insurance carriers. It bundles your Part A, B, & D into one plan sort of like how Spectrum bundles your TV, Internet, and Phone into one package. When considering Advantage plans it's important to not get caught up on the $0 premium or the extra benefits but rather on how's the plan going to cover you if you have a hospital stay, what are the copays for different labs and services, so on and so forth. Your life is more important than an extra benefit and once we take care of your immediate needs then we can look at all the perks.
Prescription Drug Plans, Dental & Vision, and Burial Benefits
Ancillary products are great additions to consider when looking at advantage plans or a medigap plan. They can help to round out your plan choice by giving you more comprehensive coverage which can protect your wallet and well being from things that may arise. We can not control the unforseen but we can be proactive about it by protecting you today. Cancer, heart attack and stroke, hospital indemnity plans, are some of the additional plans offered.
